# debconf

set a debconf answer

Only the scripts of a package read its answers. Put the step before the pkg step that installs the package, also when the package comes in as a dependency.

After a package loaded the question, as at its install, the check compares type with the type of the question. A select or multiselect value must be one of the choices of the question. A type that differs, or a value that is not a choice, fails the check.

## Keys
